I guess this is the time and place to introduce myself and explain the reasons why I have set up this blog. I'm Nia (or NJ), a dark celtic brunette from the United Kingdom with a passion for makeup, okay... maybe more of an obsession!
I love reading other makeup blogs, but at the same time I haven't always felt able to go with a lot of their recommendations due to the shade of my skin.
I'm fair skinned; incredibly so infact, and for a long time I've had problems finding products that would work with my sensitive, combination, porcelain skin without leading to further breakouts or leaving a cheeto-like orange rim around my face. So I decided to set up this blog to review and promote products that work for us fair skinned English roses. I hope you'll stick with me along the way and hopefully we can share stories and tips together.

As for my camera I use a Nikon D40 with a 18-55mm lens and it does the job for me. I went into a food photography class not sure weather I would like it, so I didn't go all out on a camera and I settled for the easiest/ most I could afford. I love it! I kind of want a macro lens but then I would need to invest in a bit better camera as well.
